Příslovce pro vyjádření názoru či komentář v angličtině

Některá příslovce a příslovečné výrazy nám sdělují názor mluvčího na určitý děj nebo tento děj nějak komentují. Od jiných druhů příslovcí se liší
v tom, že neříkají, jak se daný děj odehrál. Zároveň spíše než samotná slovesa, příslovce či příd. jména rozvíjejí celé věty. Mezi příslovci vyjadřujícími názor a těmi, která komentují, není v podstatě žádný rozdíl, liší se pouze ve větné pozici. Mnohá příslovce mohou být použita jak pro sdělení názoru, tak pro poznámky. V některých případech je však jedno použití daleko častější než to druhé.

Pozice ve větě

Příslovce vyjadřující názor stojí obvykle na začátku, řidčeji pak na konci věty. Od zbytku věty bývají oddělena čárkou. Naproti tomu příslovce pro poznámky a komentáře stojí obvykle před hlavním slovesem (výjimkou je "to be", kde mohou stát také za slovesem). V některých případech (i když to není obvyklé) mohou být příslovce tohoto druhého typu rovněž oddělena z obou stran čárkami. V následujících příkladech se příslovce pro vyjádření názoru a komentáře nacházejí ve správné pozici ve větě. Neobvyklé, emocionálně zabarvené či příliš formální pozice jsou označeny hvězdičkou.
