Vyjádření naděje, záměru či slibu v nepřímé řeči
Pokud parafrázujeme něčí záměr, naději či slib, používáme příslušné uvozovací sloveso a po něm větu začínající "that", ve které je buď "would", anebo infinitivní konstrukce s "to". V této vazbě se používají např. následující slovesa: hope, promise, threaten, guarantee & swear. "That" je možné vynechat, viz první příklad níže.
